July 22, 2023 – Today, the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational (Dow GLBI) announced the recipients of its first-ever Collaborating for Sustainability Community Grant and opened the application process for 2023. The annual grant program awards up to $20,000 in seed money to businesses and organizations seeking to advance collaborative sustainability initiatives in the Great Lakes Bay Region.

Tournament officials announced today the 2024 edition of the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational will take place June 24-30, highlighted by a Sunday finish for the first time in tournament history. The 72-hole two-person team LPGA Tour event will take place Thursday, June 27 – Sunday, June 30, at Midland Country Club, shifting from its traditional July dates due to the 2024 Summer Olympics.

The final field for the 2023 Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational has been released. The 2019 defending champions Jasmine Suwannapaura and Cydney Clanton will play alongside the 2022 defending champions Lizette Salas and Jennifer Kupcho at this year’s tournament. The field also includes:

LPGA Tour professional Jane Park is set to return to tournament competition next week, teaming up with close friend and major champion Paula Creamer at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational July 19 – 22 at Midland Country Club in Midland, Mich. Throughout the week, Dow GLBI players and fans have the opportunity to show their support for Park’s 2-year-old daughter Grace, who has intractable epilepsy.

Fan favorites Brooke Henderson, Lexi Thompson, and Megan Khang are set to appear alongside other top LPGA players at the Dow GLBI. The 2022 defending champions Lizette Salas and Jennifer Kupcho will be partners again at the tournament. Notable teams for the tournament include Celine Boutier and Yuka Saso, Jodi Ewart Shadoff and Emma Talley, Stacy Lewis and Maria Fassi, Jane Park and Paula Creamer, Georgia Hall and Rayan O’Toole, with a full partner list to be announced the week of July 10.

The Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational returns July 17-22, to Midland Country Club, with a week-long series of events and activities for the entire community. Tournament Week will include a celebration in Downtown Midland, a free Junior Clinic in partnership with First Tee of Eastern Michigan and an upgraded culinary experience onsite at the tournament. In addition, the Dow GLBI will welcome 144 of the world’s best female golfers , with tournament play taking place Wednesday, July 19 – Saturday, July 22.

Scheduled for Friday, July 21, this annual event will welcome twelve Special Olympics athletes from Michigan’s Great Lakes Bay Region. Athletes will compete in a three-hole, three-person scramble on holes 16, 17, and 18 at Midland Country Club. The Dow GLBI and the Special Olympics Michigan have teamed up for the Special Olympics 3-Hole Challenge since 2019.
