Admission/Will Call


Responsible for staffing the ticket booth and assisting security to ensure all spectators have the proper tickets for entry; Will-Call volunteers are responsible for staffing a location for ticket buyers to pick up previously purchased tickets. Caddie Tent


Responsible for upkeep of Caddie area. Hand out lunch vouchers, yardage books, bibs, etc. for Caddie use. Responsible for full on-site Caddie experience. Carts/Shuttles


Manage the Cart Area and control the charging, distribution, and collection of carts to authorized personnel. Assist with transporting veterans and volunteers throughout the course. Driving Range


Assist in providing and maintaining a suitable driving range for all contestants. Specific duties include maintaining supplies with the facility such as range balls, beverages, and player identification signs. Putting Green & Short Game


​Assist in providing and maintaining a suitable putting green and short game for all contestants. Specific duties include maintaining supplies with the facility such as golf balls, beverages, and more. Eat Great Food Festival (Off-Site)


The Eat Great Food Festival is a two-day food event hosted by Be Alive in conjunction with the Dow Great lakes Bay Invitational in Downtown Bay City. It will kick off tournament week on, Sunday, July 11 & Monday, July 12 featuring samples of beer, wine, and signature dishes from around the region as well as live entertainment. Responsibilities include: Guest check-in, selling tickets, distributing wristbands, assisting guests with special needs, answering questions regarding directions, and any other Food Festival related information. Volunteers may also assist vendors with serving samples, loading and unloading of vendor supplies, and any other responsibilities that may arise. Active days: July 11-12, 2021; outdoor committee




Hospitality


Responsible for ensuring that all patrons have proper credentials to enter the hospitality suite area, and assist with locations of specific suites. Marshals


Marshals ensure fair play among all participants as well as safety for spectators, and are stationed at locations throughout the course. Focus is on the tees, landing areas, greens, and spectator crosswalks. Prepare for longer shift hours. Traits: Understanding of golf etiquette, organized, people-leader, firm understanding of event policies, professional Active days: Tuesday-Saturday; July 15 -17, 2021; outdoor committee




Marshal Lunch Delivery


Responsible for delivering boxed lunches to marshals stationed throughout the course. Traits: Friendly, understanding of golf etiquette, organized, firm understanding of course map and alternative routes, and event policies, professional Active days: July 14-17, 2021; outdoor committee




Media Center


Assist with general operations of the Media Center and promotion of the Tournament. Traits: Friendly, understanding of golf etiquette, organized, firm understanding of course map and alternative routes, and event policies, professional Active days: July 14-17, 2021; outdoor committee




Player Services


Responsible for signing in players as they arrive throughout the week. Required to get players to fill out necessary paper work, pay entry fees, sign tournament memorabilia, etc. * Women ONLY committee. By Invitation Only. Traits: Female, friendly, avid golfer, knowledge of host site/tournament/region, knowledge of LPGA players, firm understanding of event policies, professional Active days: July 11 -17, 2021; indoor committee




Pro-Am Caddies (Youth Only)


Needed to assist amateurs as caddies for the official Pro-Am. Volunteers will be required to utilize push/pull carts while walking 18 holes. Traits: Friendly, knowledge of golf, and at least 13 years of age. Active days: July 13, 2021; outdoor committee




Pro-Am Experience


Needed to assist with the organization and distribution of autographed framed photos for each group and to assist with the Pro-Am shopping experience. Traits: Friendly, accommodating, understanding of golf etiquette, firm understanding of event policies, professional Active days: July 13, 2021; outdoor/indoor committee




On-Course Services


Responsibilities include distributing and replenishing product such as water, soda, and snacks throughout the course and clubhouse as needed. Traits: Early-riser, self-starter, people-leader, firm understanding of course map and alternative routes, ability to lift heavy items, firm understanding of event policies, professional Active days: July 12-17, 2021; outdoor committee




On-Course Ambassadors


Responsibilities include greeting spectators, helping with tournament App, answering questions regarding directions, pairings, and any other tournament related information. Ambassadors will be centrally located on the course. Traits: Must be able to stand for extended periods of time outside and have a positive, friendly attitude at all times when interacting with spectators. Operations


Focused on pre- and post-event construction support, with some shifts available during the week. Responsibilities will include handling volunteer operations, radios, setting starter tents, doing rope/signage touchups, and working with Caddie Chair to get towels and bibs set. By Invitation Only. Putt for Paradise


Responsible for running the Putt for Paradise station. Required to have participants fill out the information card, explain the rules to them, and record each competitor’s results so that a winner may be crowned at the end of each day. Scoring Control


Responsible for obtaining scores from the walking scorers via the radio and entering them into the computers for the leader board. Substantial golf knowledge is necessary. Traits: Tech savvy, able to work a radio, knowledge of golf, firm understanding of event policies, professional Active days: July 15 -17, 2021; indoor committee




Scoring Tent


Responsible for the collection of Official Scorecards from each professional group. Traits: Player-facing, knowledge of golf, firm understanding of event policies, professional Active days: July 14 -17, 2021; outdoor committee, under tent




Standard Bearers (Youth Program)


Exclusive inside the role opportunity to experience with professional athletes for 18 holes while carrying a standard. Basic golf knowledge is encouraged. Committee is reserved for youth participants 13 years of age or older. Registration for this committee will open at a later date. Traits: Ability to hold a standard and walk 18 holes, basic knowledge of golf, firm understanding of event policies, professional Active days: July 14-17, 2021; outdoor committee




STEM


Duties include assisting with youth center games and activities as well as distributing healthy snacks to children in the center. Traits: Energetic, friendly, social, creates the “fun” element, great with kids, and firm understanding of event policies, professional Active days: July 14-17, 2021; indoor committee




Junior Clinic


Duties include assisting with a one day youth program involving golf minded games and activities as well as distributing healthy snacks to children at the clinic. Traits: Energetic, friendly, social, creates the “fun” element, great with kids, and firm understanding of event policies, professional Active days: July 13, 2021; outdoor committee




Sustainability Green Team


Educate the public on proper recycling material. Notify advisers when waste receptacles are full and need to be transferred to central accumulation areas. Provide information to attendees about our greening efforts. Active days: July 14-17, 2021; outdoor committee




Golf Channel


Works closely with the Golf Channel in order to broadcast the event. Roles include microphone operators, laser operators, etc. By Invitation Only. Tournament Office


Responsible for managing the Tournament phone line and various office administrative tasks. By Invitation Only. Traits: Very friendly, office experience, independent, extremely organized, ability to multi-task, phone experience, willingness to work week and weekend prior to tournament, firm understanding of event policies, professional Active days: Monday-Saturday; July 5-17, 2021; indoor committee




Transportation

Volunteer Services


Responsible for staffing the volunteer headquarters, handling uniform distribution and maintaining a comfortable working environment for the volunteers. Walking Scorers


Scorers follow a group, marking each stroke and specific statistics. At the end of each hole, volunteers are responsible for communicating scores to Scoring Control. General Volunteer

Responsible for assisting Chair in registering and assigning caddies to golfers. As well as help check in caddies on Pro-Am day. Caddie Corral Master

Standard Bearer Registrar
